Setting up your local USB webcam for WebRTC zero-latency streaming

The Visual Lifeline A remote dashboard is mostly useless without eyes on the build plate. SoLoPrint's WebRTC tunnel is engineered to give you those eyes instantly without the lag of traditional plugins. 1. Hardware Requirements Plug any standard UVC-compliant USB webcam (like a Logitech C920) directly into the Raspberry Pi running your OctoPrint/Klipper instance and SoLoPrint Bridge. 2. Stream URL Binding 1. Ensure your local camera stream uses standard MJPG over HTTP (e.g., http://octopi.local:8080/?action=stream or http://localhost:8080/?action=stream). 2. Open your SoLoPrint Dashboard > Printers. 3. Open the specific printer's details and click Settings > Camera Configuration. 4. Input the Internal URL (how the Bridge reaches the camera port). Usually http://127.0.0.1:8080/?action=stream since the Bridge is on the same host. 5. Click Enable WebRTC Proxy. The real-time UDP tunnel will instantly lock on and provide your 60fps stream in the dashboard viewport.

Routing native Bambu Lab camera feeds through the SoLoPrint proxy

Advanced Bambu Feed Tunneling Bambu Lab encrypts the camera feed traversing their custom X1C or P1S controllers. When you run Bambu in LAN-Only Mode, you lose their handy smartphone app. Regaining Remote Eyes When you add a Bambu printer via Native LAN in SoLoPrint, our Bridge automatically negotiates the specific proprietary RTMP/RTSP or MJPG endpoints emitted by the Bambu firmware. Configuration There is no configuration required. As long as your Bambu Lab Access Code is correct, the Bridge proxies the internal Bambu feed directly into our specialized WebRTC wrapper, meaning you can watch your X1C perfectly synchronized in the cloud.

Troubleshooting blank or buffering camera streams

The Spinning Wheel of Death If you see a black screen or perpetual buffering spinner on your SoLoPrint camera viewport, follow these diagnostics: 1. The Local Source Is the camera truly outputting data? Open a new tab in your home browser and type the bare URL (e.g., http://192.168.1.55:8080/?action=stream). If it works locally, the Bridge is functional but the tunnel is blocked. 2. Port Address Translation Did you type the external IP into your SoLoPrint Camera settings? (e.g., 192.168.1.x). Ensure you used 127.0.0.1 if the Bridge and Camera are on the identical physical Raspberry Pi, because your router might block NAT loopback. 3. UDP Firewall Enforcement If logging in from a corporate or school network, check Article 15: Corporate environments frequently block WebRTC STUN/UDP outbound ports (3478). Ask the IT admin for clearance.
