Troubleshooting blank or buffering camera streams

The Spinning Wheel of Death

If you see a black screen or perpetual buffering spinner on your SoLoPrint camera viewport, follow these diagnostics:

1. The Local Source

Is the camera truly outputting data? Open a new tab in your home browser and type the bare URL (e.g., http://192.168.1.55:8080/?action=stream). If it works locally, the Bridge is functional but the tunnel is blocked.

2. Port Address Translation

Did you type the external IP into your SoLoPrint Camera settings? (e.g., 192.168.1.x). Ensure you used 127.0.0.1 if the Bridge and Camera are on the identical physical Raspberry Pi, because your router might block NAT loopback.

3. UDP Firewall Enforcement

If logging in from a corporate or school network, check Article 15: Corporate environments frequently block WebRTC STUN/UDP outbound ports (3478). Ask the IT admin for clearance.
