How the SoLoPrint Cloud Slicer uses OrcaSlicer natively in the browser

Serverless Slicing

The most revolutionary feature of SoLoPrint is the integrated Cloud Slicer. Instead of maintaining disparate software installations across laptops and workstations, we ported the world-class OrcaSlicer engine (C++) to WebAssembly using Emscripten.

What this means

When you click the Slicer tab in SoLoPrint, a full-fledged OrcaSlicer environment boots entirely inside your web browser.

We did not build a compromised, simplified slider interface. You inherit all standard parameter tweaks, tree supports, variable layer heights, and kinematics calculations identical to the desktop version.

The actual geometry slicing computations occur on our cloud servers using powerful multi-threaded instances (for SoLoPrint Pro users) or inside your browser tab (for Free users).
